MAEAA Trampoline Gathering

Published on: 09-Sep-2017

Members of MAEAA gathered for a short morning of fun at the trampoline park Bounce Incorporation Singapore at Orchard Cineleisure on the 9 Sept 2017. The trampoline park event has been on the wish list of many adventure-seeking and activity-loving alumni since trampoline parks became popular all around Singapore.

On the morning of activity, alumni and their guests gathered for a quick check in into the activity park, which was already crowded with activity. At 11am, after a brief safety introduction, MAEAA alumni started their activities in the play areas. The park consisted of 2 main play areas- the trampoline arena, which had various forms of trampoline activities like short wall jumps and plunges, stunt trampolines and also a dodge ball pitch, and the X-Park, which was a designed with a “Ninja Obstacle Course”, where players go through several elements of climbing, jumping, free-running, especially meant for those who are daring enough to try out all, in a relatively safe environment (with most parts padded with cushions).

While it was a relatively short 1 hour of playtime, many of us were already panting and out of breath from the activity at the play areas. Participants had fun reliving our childhood and trying out flips, stunts and diving into cushion pools, something that we definitely would not now try at home or out in the urban landscape of Singapore. The trampoline facilities may look like all fun to the children in the arena, but for the alumni, it is definitely a challenge and a call for adventure to immerse ourselves in the environment and start playing like a child. This, coupled with a group lunch after the activity at a nearby coffeeshop, is definitely a good weekend workout or activity fix for the largely stationary working lifestyle that some of us are experiencing.

We look forward to alumni’s active participation in MAEAA’s future activities, and we also welcome your feedback and ideas on what kind of alumni activities you would like to see in future. Join us at our Facebook page by searching for ‘NTU MAE Alumni Association’, or drop us an email at
