​Professor Chan Siew Hwa awarded Star of Innovative Talents 2018

Our heartiest congratulations to our MAE professor, Prof Chan Siew Hwa, for being awarded the "Star of Innovative Talents 2018" at the Science and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference of Guangzhou Development District, Guangzhou, China.

As a Vice Director of the Sino-Singapore International Joint Research Institute (SSIJRI), he was lauded for his dedication to productivity and green initiatives through his company, Xin-Xiang (Guangzhou) Hydrogen Technologies, which is one of the pioneer high-tech spin-offs incubated at SSIJRI with intellectual properties developed at NTU.

Prof Chan Siew Hwa is currently a full-time Professor in the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE), NTU. He was the recipient of "The World's Most Influential Scientific Minds 2014" (Thomson Reuters). He had also received 3 recognitions from NTU in Teaching (Teacher-of-the-year 2000), Research Excellence (Nanyang Award 2014), Innovation Entrepreneurship (Nanyang Award 2018), and lately he was awarded President's Chair in Energy (2019).
